hanukkah food
Hanukkah is tomorrow what do you hope you’re getting?

I don’t celebrate hanukkah but Im still really excited because I want to convert when I get older!

so what do you hope your getting?

BQ: are you going to light the menorah or is some one else?
BQ2: What is your fave hanukkah food?
BQ3: Are you going to play dreidel?
BQ4: do you know the whole dreidel song?

Why do you want to convert to Judaism?

Why are you so excited about Hanukah?

It is NOT about gifts, you know. It’s not even an important holiday. It’s a minor festival!

I don’t “HOPE” I’m getting anything. It’s not ABOUT getting things! It’s about celebrating a miraculous military victory, the survival of our people, the rededication of a desacrated Temple, and the myth of the oil lasting for eight days, miraculously, when it should only have lasted one.

I usually light the candles. We ALL say the blessings.

Latkes. Hands down.

Probably, because my son loves to play.

Which one? There are several.

I think you need to seriously think about your goals, here. It doesn’t seem, from your question, that you know what you want…but then, you admit you’re young…certainly, exploring is a good thing. Learning is a good thing.

Converting to Judaism because you like Hanukah….well, it wouldn’t be allowed, anyway.

Hanukkah… Food from Israel. “Cookin Wit Da Haole Boy”
