can you help me with a gluten-free fiber cereals and food list for celiacs?
Hi,
I need to have more fiber in my diet
I need fiber cereal lists and food lists of gluten-free foods
thank you
meki- 6 small meals a day is better if you are dieting etc… I do eat healthy- and that was not a answer to my question
also i eat very healthy- that is why i needed gf cereals etc.. to get fiber in my diet- chemo thanks for the cereals- i will def. buy enjoy life cereals
I have the same problem. My favorite Gluten Free High Fiber Cereal is made by “Enjoy Life”
Perky’s Crunchy Flax-Gluten Free/Nut Free Cereal.
Ingredients: Whole Sorghum Flour, Ground Flax Seed, Honey, Raisin Juice and Salt.
It has 6 Grams of Fiber in it, per 3/4 cup serving. I usually have a cup of it.
It’s crunchy, and pleasant tasting, and you can get even MORE Fiber, if you add Raspberries or Blueberries to the top of it.
Also, google: Prune Wafers. All you need is 2 an evening, and you will be regular by morning. It’s been a blessing for me, as I have been constipated since I was 10…Good Luck.

Bobby Flay’s Grilling for Life: 75 Healthier Ideas for Big Flavor from the Fire $0.95 Grilling is the most basic method of cooking there is. It dates back to the time of cavemen — food plus fire equals good. But when it comes to healthy food from the grill, evolution has been slow, producing lots of nutritionally sound but incredibly bland recipes. Until now. Bobby Flay’s Grilling for Life is, first and foremost, about getting the biggest, boldest flavor possible from food and fire while making healthy choices all the way. Imagine a lifetime of Espresso Rubbed BBQ Ribs with Mustard-Vinegar Basting Sauce; Bricked Rosemary Chicken with Lemon; Chinese Chicken Salad with Red Chile-Peanut Dressing; Grilled Beef Filet with Arugula and Parmesan; Grilled Salmon with Lemon, Dill, and Caper Vinaigrette; and Garlic-Red Chile-Thyme-Marinated Shrimp. For food that is good for you and full of his signature big style and big flavor, Bobby Flay will teach you how to use herbs, spices, heart-healthy oils, citrus zests and juices, honey, and vinegars in place of sugary commercial sauces and marinades. He’ll show you how to enhance flavor by toasting nuts, seeds, and spices on the grill; roasting garlic in a covered grill to add to vinaigrettes and marinades; and grilling slices of lemon, lime, and grapefruit to serve on the side. Bobby believes that we all need a full and balanced diet to be happy and healthy, so the book has everything you need to keep grilling for life: veggies chock-full of fiber; delicious complex carbohydrates (the right carbs) that not only fight heart disease but break down slowly, leaving you feeling fuller longer; fish rich in omega-3 oils; and, of course, the full range of proteins. To sharpen your skills by the fire, Bobby Flay’s Grilling for Life includes the sections “Equipment” (a very short list); “Fahrenheit 101,” a temperature chart that helps you navigate rare, medium, and well-done; “Meals in Minutes,” offering suggestions for the time-challenged; and “Party Foods,” great |

Vegetables and Fruits: Nutritional and Therapeutic Values $135.95 The modern synthetic diet, formulated to appeal to our inherent attraction to sugar, salt, fats, and calories at the expense of nutrition, leaves us over-fed and under-nourished. A considerable portion of chronic human diseases, including diabetes and heart disease, appear to be related largely to a diet that is inadequate in the essential vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, and other constituents found in natural, unprocessed foods. Employing a no-nonsense, tabular format, Vegetables and Fruits: Nutritional and Therapeutic Values presents detailed information on nutritional and therapeutic constituents and their applications for more than 200 vegetables and fruits currently available in North American markets. Edited by one of the world’s best known and respected researchers, this comprehensive reference guide begins with a general introduction to essential human values such as protein, minerals, vitamins, and fiber. Five tables list nutritional and therapeutic values, vitamin and mineral content, and flavonoid, isoflavone, and carotenoid presence in raw vegetables. The sixth presents uses of vegetables and fruits to maintain health and fight disease. Five appendices provide lists of scientific and English names, as well as a review of chemical compounds and their sources. Today, dietitians agree that plant foods should comprise the major part of the healthy human diet. Moreover, they have determined that fruits and vegetables are the keys to obtaining not just adequate vitamins and minerals, but a wide variety of other elements that can contribute therapeutically to human health. With the increasing emphasis on good nutrition and healthy eating, this handy guide is crucial to ensuring optimal nutrition from a plant-based diet. |

What’s with Fiber? $9.99 What’s with Fiber? Fiber is not merely the simple roughage it was once thought to be, and it is not an isolated element in nature. Found in plant foods, fiber is a complex substance, and in whole foods, it is always accompanied by a number of nutrients, including antioxidants, essential oils, minerals, proteins, and vitamins. Fiber occurs in many forms and has very few calories. A diverse diet of whole natural foods can provide all the fiber the body needs to help protect it against health problems, say the authors Gene and Monica Spiller, who go on to warn that a lack of fiber in the diet can lead to degenerative diseases. The current obesity epidemic in the Western world, for example, is directly related to the lack of plant-based, fiber-filled whole foods that have been largely displaced in today’s diets by processed foods, denatured grains, and fiber-free animal products. Part One of What’s with Fiber? explains what fiber is and how it is naturally contained in whole foods. Part Two outlines the ancestral history of fiber, beginning well before agriculture came into being. It brings fiber into the present ”phytochemical era,” detailing the ongoing research that is so explosively increasing everyone’s knowledge of plant foods and their protective compounds. There is a section on the healthy diets of isolated and non-Western people around the world. The balance of the chapters in Part Two delve into specific diseases and conditions, such as cancer of the colon and rectum, diverticular disease, obesity, heart disease, and high cholesterol, citing studies and detailing fiber’s role in helping to ameliorate or prevent these problems. Part Three discusses specific categories of whole-plant foods, and asks what’s with whole grains; beans and legumes; nuts and seeds; fruits; vegetables; seaweeds and fungi (mushrooms); and extracts, juices, and teas. A comprehensive glossary, appendices of explanatory tables and graphs, and a full list of books and references are also |
